What is promise?
promise promise is an art platform focused on sincerity in contemporary art.Based in “Minneapolis,” and the world wide web, promise follows the idea that everything is always creating meaning. Through online presentations, print editions, and pop-up activations, promise seeks to create access to rigorous discussions on culture, intimacy, and sovereignty.
Though promise focuses on non-identitarian values, we believe good art cannot ignore the psychic and material realities of racial capitalist inequality, ableism, gendered disempowerment, and colonial violence.
